Headphones
Borrowing headphones in the Information Commons
Students using the Information Commons may borrow headphones for their personal use. The headphones are available from the IC Helpdesks at the Kate Edger IC and Grafton IC. Headphones for the use in Epsom IC are available from the Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library Lending desk.
To borrow headphones at the IC Helpdesk, you must bring your University of Auckland ID card or no headphones will be issued to you.
Loan periods
You may borrow headphones for a four-hour period. You can renew the headphones online once via Voyager for a further four-hour period. If you still wish to use the headphones at the end of your loan/renewal period, you must return to the IC Helpdesk and the headphones will be reissued to you provided there are other headphones available at the time. At present, you cannot place recalls or reserves on headphones.

Patron blocks and fines
Fines are generated at the rate of 5 cents per minute for an overdue pair of headphones (maximum fine of $30.00). If you lose the borrowed headphones, replacement cost is $50.00 and there may be additional processing fees. Please note that headphones not returned after 3 days are automatically charged as lost.
Note carefully that you cannot pay library fines or return your books at the Information Commons. However, if you incur fines that exceed the limits of either the Libraries or the Information Commons, you may not borrow items from the Information Commons.
For additional information, please contact one of the IC Helpdesks.
